Understanding which stories are more important
One of our goals is to identify and understand the important trends that are happening in the worlds right now.
To do this, we use a ranking algorithm, which measures the impact of every source that we aggregate, and every article published in that source.
We look at the credibility and audience of the source and author, text characteristics and the velocity of the news event as it is happening. This allows us to rank the news in a way that brings the most important and impactful stories to the front of our Top Stories category.
Selecting the stories that are important to you
But knowing the important stories is only part of what we want to offer. You have to know what is happening around you, but you also want to follow the topics that you love reading about.
News360 allows you to create a highly tailored personal news feed. We can use our semantic analysis engine to analyze your Facebook, Twitter, Google Reader and Evernote accounts (with your permission, of course) to understand what your area of interest is, and serve your stories that fit them.
You can, of course tailor these settings as much as you want inside News360, or skip the social media analysis altogether and set up your personal feed by hand.
Giving you all points of view
Every story in the news is covered from a set of different angles, and using different media. This could be a political slant of a particular publication, or a more visual focus of television news networks vs a text-based medium.
Our goal is to give you as much choice as possible to examine every issue just the way you like it, and to be able to escape media bias and uncertainty.
